HORA e.V. · Austrian non-profit
We build digital health services for low‑resource settings.
We work in rural communities and refugee settlements, alongside the people that live there.
Founded in 2021. Based in Innsbruck, Austria.
The gap
Most tech is built for communities, not with them.
In low-resource settings, services are usually designed far away, without the people who will rely on them. The services that do launch rarely come with an operating model that is viable.
What we do
We build and operate the services within the communities that use them.
Our human-centered research helps us design our services around its user needs. The team brings together social scientists, developers, data scientists, field experts, and community-outreach specialists.
